The Oxford History of the British Empire (OHBE) is a five volume
work that encompasses many different themes. Due to its
complex nature, an overarching summary proves impossible.
Therefore, British Scholar seeks to review every chapter
separately and post these on the website by volume as they
become available. Check back frequently to see if a chapter that
